Born in Lille in 1983, Fanny Nushka studied international relations at Sciences Po and economics at HEC Paris before committing to painting full time in 2014, having spent years managing a contemporary art gallery while painting in parallel.
Largely self-taught, she received her earliest lessons from American painter Maggie Siner and later developed her practice under the guidance of painters including Hashpa and Zawacky. Her figurative work centres on the female body: faces, busts, and fragments treated through abstract structure rather than narrative, vivid brushwork held against timeless subject matter. Solo exhibitions span Paris, Marseille, and Dubai, with group shows in Venice, Los Angeles, Miami, Ghent, and Antwerp. She has been featured as a Saatchi Art Rising Star and is based in Marseille.
