Happy Friday,

The times, they are a changin’… or revealin’! The last year forced me, probably most of us, to question what we do and why.

I am oddly thrilled to share the result of this soul searching today.

Have you ever tried to summarise the raison d’etre of your life in a short video!? Making this was tough! But also incredibly cathartic:

Artwork: the people and processes behind the magic

I recently met Georgina Cohen, Gallery Director at the Gagosian, and was perversely thrilled to receive her praise for our work. I’m now 50 years old, shouldn’t I be past any need for external validation!? 😂

Well, this little video expresses my vision behind the portrait commissions we arrange, and that’s part of what she complemented.  And I admit, it felt great.

Daydream: the ideas that inspire the work

I started this company partly because I wanted to honour my grandparents - just amazing people, all four. Both funny and serious, they did it right. They also had very hard lives, and yet I can’t remember ever hearing a single complaint from them.

Long deceased, I hope they’d be proud of the work we do.  That’s some external validation I proudly crave.
