Some photography is poaching an egg; only the best will get it right, whereas other shots are scrambling an egg; anyone can get very good. I have a confession to make – I’m a nerd. Whereas some artists never seem to read or study creativity itself, I find the topic utterly fascinating. Perhaps it’s my engineering background – when going to college my parents said I’d never make a living in the creative world, and since I was good at mathematics, I studied engineering.

As the kids go back to school, my mind turns to the refreshing spirit of autumn. I know that, theoretically, the leaves are about to fall – the metaphor is one of ebbing not flowing. But I’ve a winter-y soul. For me the autumn is a time of renewal.

The last eight weeks have been a whirlwind, with exciting new projects born from clients’ ‘flights of fancy’, which we’re pioneering together. What’s the point of having a ‘personal creative agency’ if you can’t challenge us!?
