Born in Leicester in 1973, Paul Wright studied at Loughborough College of Art and Design before completing a BA in Illustration at Falmouth School of Art in 1995. He works primarily in paint, building a figurative language in which subjects are glimpsed rather than exposed, their inner lives suggested through colour, texture, and a kind of deliberate incompleteness.
