A commercial career followed, including roles as Creative Director at Dakine in California and design work for Fossil, Abercrombie and Fitch, and GAP, before fine art painting drew him back. He deepened his practice through study with figurative artist Jacob Dhein in Florence, plein air painters along the California coast, and a 2023 masterclass with Jeremy Mann in Spain, which gave rise to his solo exhibition Paintings from Spain. His work is impressionistic in approach, built around coastal and landscape subjects rendered through abstract form and sustained attention to light.
