“Perhaps the most interesting home ideas on the market today.”

08/28/2020

Happy Friday,

The last eight weeks have been a whirlwind, with exciting new projects born from clients’ ‘flights of fancy’, which we’re pioneering together. What’s the point of having a ‘personal creative agency’ if you can’t challenge us!?

This is why I’ve begun RAD Fridays. We’re doing so many cool things that I needed a way to share some with you.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy these as light reading for the weekends, and maybe even get inspired.

Very warmly, and gratefully,
Richard

Reveal : our latest and greatest work

Vibrant without being loud, this is the latest iteration of my Tiled Installation design. The client visited the studio this week and is overjoyed with the finished piece!  😃.

Artwork : the people and processes behind the magic

Here is a ‘Meet the Artist’ interview I did with Georgie Mason, an intuitive abstract artist who we’ve been exhibiting. Some people don’t think abstract art can be personal, but Georgie’s approach reveals another layer of personal.

Daydream : the ideas that inspire our creative work

My daughter Charlotte turned 18 this summer, so it was time to make her film from all the interviews I’ve done with her since she was 5 years old.

I’m always trying to improve everything I do, so I reviewed these classic TED Talks by Andrew Stanton and JJ Abrams to get some ideas.

I realised we could craft more mystery in these films. Of course, Charlie’s story is not a mystery to us, but when her children and grandchildren see the video, her childhood will be a mystery to them.

So we seeded the ideas in the first half of the film, with the payoff revealed in the second half.

The added layer of suspense works even better than I expected (oh, how we forget stuff…); you’ll enjoy it even if you don’t know Charlie at all.

See you soon for another RAD Friday!
