William Fortescue began his career at 18 as an intern at Governors' Camp Collection in Kenya, and has not strayed far from the African bush since. He holds a first class degree in Marine and Natural History Photography, and returned to Kenya in 2019 as a full-time resident photographer before being signed by his first London gallery while living in the Maasai Mara.
