Shelley Anderson

Born and raised in West Cornwall, Shelley Anderson trained in Silversmithing and Metal Fabrication at Falmouth College of Art before spending eight years at the Copper Works Newlyn, building the technical foundation that underpins his practice.

Working with metal and recycled materials, he creates sculpture rooted in the Cornish coastline and landscape, the forms allowed to remain free and organic rather than resolved toward polish. He has received recognition for restoration work from the York Conservation Society and was awarded a scholarship from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust. Recent years have brought significant commissions, including bronze resin panel works. He is based in Penzance, Cornwall.
