His practice is built around hand-built porcelain vessels of considerable formal precision, working at the intersection of drawing, surface, and three-dimensional form. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, York City Art Gallery, and the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza, among others. Awards include the Cersaie Prize at the Faenza Biennale and a Blanc de Chine Honour Award in Lyon.
