Mark Lawson Bell

Mark Lawson Bell works with discarded and natural objects, drawn to decay and transformation. He reimagines these materials with a quiet sense of the fantastical, sometimes telling stories and sometimes leaving meaning open to the viewer.

Mark Lawson Bell has exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally, with solo and group shows at venues such as the Royal Academy, the Hayward Gallery, the Institute of Contemporary Art, and galleries in London, Paris, Milan, and San Francisco. These exhibitions reflect his ongoing exploration of time, environment, and imagined realities.

Raised in Cornwall, Mark Lawson Bell developed an early connection to nature that shaped his creative path. After careers in photography and creative direction, he is now based in Hastings, where storytelling and curiosity remain central to his practice.
