She works in mixed media, layering paper collage and acrylic with mica powders and hand-applied threads and beads, so each piece carries a strong sense of the materials it is made from. A later spell of specialist printmaking added another set of marks to draw on.

Originally from northern Finland, she moved to Britain in 1969 and studied at St Martin's School of Art and the Surrey Institute in Farnham. Over three decades she has shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries and the National Print Exhibition.

She lives and works in the United Kingdom.
