Description
Richard believes a memory can be made to last in a way that nothing else can. His work takes the private and the personal, a family story, a box of old photographs, and turns them into objects meant to be kept and handed down. The idea is simple: what matters to you is worth making permanent.
He works on commission, in photo collage and mixed media, building each piece around a particular life. Photographs, keepsakes and fragments are gathered and reworked into mosaics, tiled collages, quilts and surreal portraits, so the finished object carries a real story rather than a decorative one. No two are alike, because no two lives are.
