The Story Behind McKay & Williamson
The first McKay & Williamson was founded in 1968 by Jim Williamson and Richard McKay — my father and maternal grandfather. They built houses, but never thought of them as bricks and mortar. To them, each home was a place where families would live, grow, and write their stories. I named this company after them because I see our work in the same light.
Art isn’t merely decoration — it’s a story. It reflects who we are and reveals something essential about us. It becomes part of our legacy, a fragment of the fingerprint we leave on the world.
