The Story Behind McKay & Williamson
The first McKay & Williamson was set up in 1968 by Jim Williamson and Richard McKay, my dad and maternal grandfather. They built houses - but never saw them as bricks and mortar. They viewed their work as building the homes where families would write their stories.
I named this company after them, as I see our work in the same light. Art isn’t decoration – it’s a story. It reflects who we are and says something about us. It becomes our legacy - part of the fingerprint we leave on the world.
