Born in 1967 in Dublin, Fintan is known for his large-scale mixed-media abstract paintings that combine oils, varnishes, and pigments on canvas. He studied Art and Design at the Dun Laoghaire School of Art and Graphic Design at the Dublin Institute of Technology. Since his first solo exhibition in 2005, he has shown his work internationally, earning recognition for his distinctive approach to abstraction.

Fintan’s art is guided by his curiosity and creative instincts. Drawing inspiration from landscapes and organic forms, he explores the interplay of texture and light in his compositions. Themes of form, texture, shadow, movement, and energy recur throughout his work, reflecting his ongoing fascination with how these elements shape perception and emotion.
