Brendan Stuart Burns, born in 1963, is an artist based in Cardiff. He studied Fine Art at Cardiff College of Art from 1981 to 1985 and completed postgraduate painting studies at The Slade School of Art, University College London from 1985 to 1987. His exhibitions have been shown across the United Kingdom and in countries such as the United States, France, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand and Spain.

His artworks appear in many private and public collections, among them the National Museum and Galleries of Wales, the Derek Williams Trust, the Contemporary Art Society of Wales and the Contemporary Art Society of Britain through the Tom Bendhem Bequest. His work is also represented in collections across America, Australia, China, Holland, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Mexico, New Zealand, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
